Karen Keithler
Advisor to the Board of Directors
Karen Keithler had a long accounting career with Johnson & Johnson (1974-1998). She won the
J&J President’s award for Individual Achievement at Hospital Services, Inc. (a J&J subsidiary).
This award was for the implementation of an automated expense reporting system for the Field
Organization in 1993. In 1994, she received the President’s Team Award for implementing the
system to the rest of Hospital Services, Inc. Karen worked in all aspects of accounting for J&J
and Ajilon Financial Services, as a free lance accountant for nine years. She finished her
accounting career at Hackensack Meridian Health, retiring in 2014.
Karen is currently a member and Co-Treasurer (2015-Present) of The Raritan-Millstone Heritage
Alliance historical organization. She is a member of the Metuchen Borough Improvement
League, Edison-Metuchen Historical Society and Historical Association of Woodbridge. Karen is
an active member of the Adult Chorus with Rise Up Chorus and adult choir and adult hand bell
choirs at the First Presbyterian Church in Metuchen (since 2012) where she served as a Deacon
and currently serves on the Worship Committee . She is also a member of the Woodbridge
Community Choir. Music has always been a big part of Karen’s life.
During Karen’s membership with The Presbyterian Church in New Brunswick (1996-2012), she
served as a Deacon and an Elder, and as Chair of the Property Committee. She sang in the adult
choir and played hand bells in the New Brunswick church.
