Frances McClean
Accessibility Liaison & Advisor to the Board of Directors
Frances McClean has been a resident of Metuchen, New Jersey since 1984 when she purchased a home that was built in approximately 1740. She spent her 30+ career in Commercial Marine Insurance for a large international insurance company. As soon as she moved into Metuchen, she sought out the Metuchen First Aid Squad and applied to become a member. Since 1984, in addition to riding as an EMT, Fran has served the First Aid Squad as President, Treasurer, Membership Trustee and Cadet Advisor. She currently volunteers for them as Insurance Trustee and Finance Trustee.
Prior to moving to Metuchen, Fran also taught Standard and Advanced First Aid classes for the American Red Cross, and she was an instructor-trainer in CPR for the American Heart Association.
She is a communicant at St. Francis Cathedral and a member of the Pastoral Council, acting as their secretary. She was also chosen to serve on the Deanery Council for the Diocese of Metuchen. She serves on the advisory board of the Circle of Friends, a philanthropic group formed by members of the church to promote social and humanitarian causes for others in the Metuchen and surrounding community.
