Adult Chorus

The Adult Chorus rehearses on Friday evenings from 7:00 - 8:45pm in three sessions from September through June, with each session culminating in a major performance. Adults may join us for all three, just two, or even only one session; however, we ask that singers commit to the entire session. The Adult Chorus focuses on high-quality, diverse repertoire that spans all styles and time periods. Both octavos and major works will be explored and performed. Other performances and events will also be held throughout the season. The focus of rehearsals is on vocal technique, ear training (aural skills), movement, reading music, and ensemble skills and balance. There are also several social events throughout the season. Adult Chorus members may participate in one, two, or all three sessions each season; all we ask is that you commit to an entire session.

The Adult Chorus is led by its director, Matthew LaPine, collaborative pianist, Florence Simons, and its sectional coaches, Jennifer Jenkins, Elizabeth Amory-Teutsch, Alexander Minter, and Nicolas Noa. For more information about our Adult Chorus, please reach out to us at admin@riseuparts.org.
